UWC Mostar supports an Orphanage in Lower Subukia, Kenya

Since 2014, UWC Mostar students with their Croatian language teacher, have raised money for the Mission in Kenya run by Fr Miro Babic – St. Anthony Small Home orphanage, (Mali dom) and St. Francis Secondary School for poor children in Lower Subukia, Kenya. “To Africa with Love: Big Hearts of the Small Home Orphanage” is a project implemented students UWC Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and their Croatian language teacher Ivona Susac since 2014. Through the sales of friendship bracelets, the initiative supports (St. Anthony Small Home orphanage, (Mali dom) in Lower Subukia, Kenya) and their efforts to offer a safe living and learning environment to children from underprivileged communities.

Various schools in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina are taking part in the project: Gimnazija Mostar, Gimnazija fra Grge Martića, Antuna Branka Šimića Primary school, Ivana Gundulića Primary school  in cooperation with their teacher Ita Pandža) and Metković Primary school from Croatia, in cooperation with their teacher Tomislav Tomić.
